About

Hello and Welcome to my blog! My name is Allison and I started this blog to document my running experiences, and I did that for a few months until I started experiencing extreme shin pain, and decided that I wasn’t really cut out for running. I’m still learning to embrace that fact, but can’t quite bring myself to change the name of my blog. Even though I am no longer running slow miles, I am still on the journey to better over all health, and as we all know, it can some times be slow…and long.

And now I’m pregnant. So this blog will be about me trying to keep up my healthy lifestyle, kettlebell training, and what it’s like to be a plus size pregnant woman.

I love your blog, too! I too am a slow runner (slower than you) and I love reading your posts! I’m planning on doing a half marathon in August 2010, so we’re on similar schedules! Keep up the awesome work

I just found your blog and I appreciate your plight! I have been running consistently for about two years now. I have learned that you are going to have good days where it almost feels easy and you are going to have bad days when it feels impossible. Most runs will be somewhere in between but keep it up! The rewards and the feeling of accomplishment when you are done are worth it!

Hey Allison! I saw your post on EatLiveRun about Ketchum Idaho and thought I would check you out 🙂 Great blog! My husband is from Boise and we get out there as often as we can. We were lucky to spend last summer with our family in Meridian (as we were getting married in Stanley). I was in such need of a running partner out there but ended up switching to biking. I love Boise’s biking community. We live in NY now with plans to move west in the next 2-3 years. Good luck with running!

      Annalisa,
Hello! Stanley is such a beautiful place to get married. I was in a wedding there a few years ago, at the Salmon River Lodge, right on the river…such spectacular views!
I currently work for the the city of Meridian! The biking community is big here, and there are SO many fantastic places to bike. Good luck moving out here!
