Points for Pounds: Week 9

Don’t forget to check out Steph’s blog to see how she has done for the past two weeks. Her life has been a whirlwind lately!

So I’ve been thinking about what I eat lately. One of my main complaints with weight watchers, is that there is no focus on macro nutrients, just fat and fiber.

The other day I stumbled on Marks Daily Apple and read about his belief in primal living. It was fascinating really. If you aren’t familiar with it, check out his website. I’m not sure that I am ready to jump on the primal bandwagon 100% but it made me think about how many grams of carbs I eat, and if I get enough protein, and if I tweaked those amounts just a little bit, what result I would get.

Official Weigh In:
Week 1-September 3: +2.2
Week 2-September 10: -3.0
Week 3: September 17: + 0.6
Week 4: September 24: +/- 0
Week 5: October 1: -0.4
Week 6: October 10: -3.8
Week 7: October 15: +0.6
Week 8: October 24: +1.8
Week 9: October 29: +/- 0

I am pleased with the lack of gain, I’ve sort of been mainlining baked goods this week, and really need to get a grip before the Holiday’s come around!

I think that has always been my biggest issue with Weight Watchers too. The balance of food and the quality ingredients still should be in focus, even with points. Other than that, I think its a great plan. That’s great you are wanting to take a closer look at your choices and what will work best for you. 🙂

And yea, striving not to gain over the holidays is such a feat.
